To get to Sifnos you can take the ferry from Piraeus, on a 5 hour boat trip. The frequency of the services during high season is quite satisfactory, counting 3- 4 arrivals per day. There are also high speed catamarans and hydrofoils that connect the island of Sifnos with Piraeus in 2 ½ - 3 hours.

Sifnos is also linked by sea and point-to-point connections with Paros, Naxos, Mykonos, Syros, Tinos, Folegandros, Ios, Santorini (in the Cyclades Island Cluster) and directly or via Milos with the island of Crete.

The closest airports to Sifnos are located in Milos and Paros islands. Only for emergency transportations by helicopter, there is a heliport near the Monastery of Panagia Vrysiani, south of Exambela. From there it takes 30 minutes by high speed and 1.5 hours by conventional to reach Sifnos.
